This is a blade with layers, story, and attitude. Go-Mai comes from the Japanese term meaning “five layers”- a traditional style of laminated construction where different metals are stacked together to combine performance and beauty. In this build, a high-carbon 1070 core forms the cutting heart of the knife (the part that takes and holds a SHARP edge), while wrought iron and copper bring toughness, character, and that unmistakable layered contrast that looks alive in the light.
The handle is pure African bushveld: Apiesdoring, Warthog, and Buffalo - warm, natural materials with real texture and presence. It’s a knife that feels handcrafted from the ground up, and it shows.
