SharpThings PlankieSteak Braai Duo
Two knives. One braai. From first prep to final steak.
A good braai starts long before the meat reaches the fire. There is trimming to do, portions to cut, onions to slice, tomatoes to tame, cheese to rescue from the packet and at least one person insisting that the braaibroodjies need “just a little more”. The SharpThings PlankieSteak Braai Duo was built for all of it.
The larger knife is the prep workhorse. Its long satin-finished N690 stainless blade gives you the reach for trimming and portioning meat, slicing vegetables, preparing sides and doing the serious board work before the fire settles into proper coals. It has enough blade to make prep efficient without turning the process into a wrestling match.
The compact companion takes over where the big knife leaves off. It is quick, controllable and perfectly suited to smaller prep jobs, biltong, garnish, last-minute braai-table work and - most importantly - the PlankieSteak moment when the food is finally ready and the talking stops for a while.
Both knives are made from N690 stainless steel with a clean satin finish and fitted with Red Ivory handles. The matching construction gives the set a deliberate, coherent look, while the two blade sizes mean each knife has a real job rather than simply filling a space in a gift box.
This is not a chef set that happens to visit the braai. It is a braai set designed around the way South Africans actually cook: prep at the board, work beside the fire, build the braaibroodjies, sort out the salads, slice the meat and then eat the steak properly.
From first cut to last bite, the PlankieSteak Braai Duo stays part of the occasion.
