Steak&Braai
The One-Knife Braai Companion
Some knives only arrive when the steak hits the plate. This one is there when the first onion gets chopped, the first fire gets lit, somebody asks who forgot the bottle opener and when the steak hits the braaiplank. The SharpThings Steak&Braai was made for the whole ritual, not just the final five minutes.
This is the compact knife that lives next to the braai. Use it to trim and portion meat, slice tomato, onion and cheese for the braaibroodjies, spread butter (inside or out-), deal with the salad 'for the ladies' until half the guys start eating it too, cut a lemon for your tequila or cider, portion snacks and handle the small jobs that somehow multiply as soon as friends arrive.
Then the meat comes off the fire. Do not put the knife away. By then it has already done half the prep, survived three opinions on how hot the coals should be, and probably been moved twice by somebody who insists the tongs were 'right here'. Take it to the table and use it as a proper steak knife. At 205 mm overall length, it is compact enough to feel at home beside a plate, but substantial enough to do real prep work before the braai starts.
And later, when the fire has collapsed into coals and somebody makes a mug of strong polisiekoffie, this is exactly the kind of knife that will still be lying on the table. If the teaspoon has disappeared, well... the Braai&Steak will probably be asked to help with opening the can of condensed milk and stirring duties too.
It is that kind of knife and it really is the point of this knife. It is not trying to be a giant cleaver, a chef's knife or some over-serious piece of tactical equipment. It is a simple South African braai companion for people who like good meat, good company, a bit of chaos around the fire and tools that actually get used.
One knife. The whole braai. Less washing up. More kuier. (and REALLY handmade in South Africa)

Photos are taken in a lightbox without post-processing to represent the knife accurately, but your piece will be uniquely its own.
